Suggest new ways we can enjoy the journey together!

This month we are doing things the Neville way! One of the ways he proved how powerful we really are was through this experiment. Let's give it a try....
Neville teaches that you truly do create your reality. He shows that through deliberately using imagination and feeling you can create any outcome you desire.
Once you realize your power, you can apply it to any area of your life. Here's the challenge:
For the next week, before you go to sleep visualize yourself climbing a ladder. Visualize it as if you are already climbing it. Describe it in your mind. What does it look like? How does it feel? How big is it? Where is this ladder? What is it leaning on? How high does it go? Use all of your senses to FEEL the ladder until it feels real to you. Then let the idea go and see what happens. See if in a week you find yourself climbing a ladder. He recommends that if it doesn't work the first time try it again for another week. This is a new concept to most and therefore it may take a second try before you can really grasp the technique. But it is his promise that if you follow these steps you will find yourself climbing a ladder in a way that will feel natural but will leave you in awe once you realize you created it!
When looking at the teachings of Abraham Hicks. The best advice Abraham has is to meditate for 15 minutes immediately when you wake up.
A tip: Focus on something in the room like an air conditioner. Use a steady sound and focus only on the sound for 15 mins. Anytime your mind wanders its OK, just bring your focus back to the steady sound. Put a timer on and start your day off with a clear mind and see how the flow of your day goes!
Bob Proctor said that there are only two ways to change your paradigm (click the link below). They are #1. Huge emotional impact or #2. Repetition by constantly introducing a new way of thinking in your head. Now because these new ideas are different than what you are used to, it kind of feels foreign and uncomfortable. This is much like writing with your non-dominant hand.
Now with that in mind and the focus on changing your paradigm he suggests that we write down our goal 10 times using our non-dominant hand. Once in the morning and again at night. While you are training yourself to write with your opposite hand, you are also training yourself to believe in your new paradigm.
As the writing get easier so will the belief of this new idea. So let's do it! Pick a goal that you really desire most and begin writing it each day, and each night using your other hand. Ready...let's write
I first heard about keeping a gratitude journal from Oprah Winfrey. I have always loved to write and so it was an experience that was right up my alley. However I quickly found out that it was not quite a writing excersise but more a grounding, focus and energy shifting technique. When you awaken and the first thoughts you have are rooted in all that you are grateful for your day naturally flows better. You also realize just how many things there are to appreciate around you.
The immediate things that changed for me were better moods and a different focus because I was more aware throughout the day of the little things. The long term effect I experienced was generosity. For me generosity and gratitude go hand in hand. I found that saying "Thank you" seemed to not be enough of a response to the blessings around me. Over years I became increasingly more generous. For me the only appropriate response to all that I've been blessed with is to find a way to pass it on. Whether a gift, an opportunity, some helpful information, encouragement, a book recommendation, a kind word, or a good laugh. Its all rooted in my understanding and appreciation of all that I have.
I started off emailing it to myself. As you will see in the picture below. One of my first "Thank you" emails was in 2014. It felt good to jot down a few items and send them off. Currently I am back to using an actual journal but either way this has been one of the best practice I've ever adopted. So thank you Ms.Winfrey!
Below are some Gratitude prompts to get your journal flowing with appreciation:
1. Name someone you are truly grateful for
2. Name something that made you laugh
3. Name the best thing you ate/drank today
4. Name the best conversation you had recently
5. Name the last time you felt beautiful/handsome
This is a book about a woman's beautiful recollection of her near death experience. Its about what she saw, understood, and learned about life.
Since I began reading it, I have not been able to put it down. It is truly one of the best books I've ever read.It touched me deeply. There are so many lessons that we learn along the way about love, life, beliefs, and challenges. This book is a culmination of all those lessons woven into one amazing experience. It is an wonderful read and I highly recommend it!!
Yes you read that right Jim Carrey! Now although I am a fan of many of his comedic movies this is not about them. This is about a man who has had what society calls "success" and many of things we have at one point in our lives strived for. He's had the fame, and the wealth and love but still found that something was missing.
Jim Carrey went on his own Spiritual journey and began sharing his insights into what he discovered. In his 2014 commencement address he highlighted some of the greatest parts of that journey. He has done interviews , released a Netflix documentary called "Jim &Andy" and spoken cleverly and profoundly on our lives and what it truly means to be successful. This address was one of my favorites! There are so many take aways. Please watch, you won't be disappointed.
After hearing about this technique for awhile I finally tapped in and gave it a try! EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is referred to as psychological acupressure. It is believed that the tapping helps to balance the energy in your body. It helps to treat emotional pain, and anxiety.
I wasn't sure what to expect or how tapping specific areas of my body would effect emotion. I was blown away by the results! I did tapping with Candace Van Dell ( Seen Above). There are many videos online and therapy programs that have this as a treatment option. I chose this one because Canadce was targeting specific feelings/emotions I was dealing with in my own life. There are many EFT teachers and videos that target topics to cover whatever area of your life you are ready to focus on.
What seemed like a few minutes of tapping and repeating mantras ended in me feeling relieved, relaxed and somehow energetic at the same time. I felt lighter and more peaceful from the inside out. I felt an immediate shift in my mood. I definitely recommend you give this technique a try. I will definitely use this as a go to whenever I feel like I'm in need of balancing out my emotions.
This is by far the best book I have ever read. Its truly my favorite book of all time. It has been a great teacher and reminder of who we are and who we were meant to be. I have read this book several times, (sometimes even back to back) because each time I read it,I find something different resonates with me. If there is anything that you join along with in "Join the Journey" please ,please read this and send me your feedback. I'd love to hear what you got out of it.
You can purchase this amazing book by Udell S Anderson. But in case you want to listen along there is a free reading of it on YouTube. I would recommend you read it first. Most importantly this is not just a book you read and go. This is a book you study and work through. Its more a guide that includes mediations that appear at the end of each chapter. When taking the time to really open your mind and heart to the contents of this book you will develop a deeper understanding of yourself like never before. After doing so, those 3 magic words will reveal a deep truth that even the biggest skeptics won't able to escape.
